Web Traction with Rollers | |

In high-speed converting applications air can get trapped between the web surface and roller surface in the converting machine, creating sort of an air bearing effect. When this occurs, the web is no longer in traction with the roller face. Anytime, whatever the cause, webs are not in traction with rollers, tracking issues and resultant web wrinkles can occur.
